about the director
San Antonio native & Army Veteran, Gilbert Sorola, directed and co-wrote the film “Counter Column.” Many scenes were inspired by his childhood in the Alamo City as well as his prior military service. Sorola graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and served 8 years in the U.S. Army & National Guard. Sorola is a self-employed entrepreneur, owning a property management and realty company. His great variety of past life experiences bring a distinctly unique flavor to his storytelling.
